What is color blocking?

It is essentially the combination of different colors in one outfit, resulting in a statement look. Minimalism has no place in color blocking. The trend calls for imaginative color combinations and a more maximalist approach to dressing. But pay close attention here: For an outfit to be considered color blocking, you must combine three or more colors. 

Tip! If you don’t love very bold colors, you can experiment with their pastel versions. However, combining beige, ecru, and white is not considered color blocking.

Although the trend may sound a bit “scary,” it isn’t. You can easily adopt it by pairing a colorful suit with a top and a bag in a different color or simply by choosing different colors for your top, skirt, and shoes. The possible color combinations are endless.
