Samsung Galaxy Flip 6: Arrives with significant changes
The Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 is the smaller of Samsung's two foldable smartphones and had its moment at the Samsung Unpacked event. Its main folding feature in the middle remains and continues to serve those who do not want the large screen of the Fold but desire something more than a simple smartphone. This year, it weighs 187 grams, and the manufacturer focused on its durability, as it is water-resistant with an IP48 rating.
And here we have a reinforced folding mechanism, but the biggest difference comes in the screens. The internal one is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz that adapts according to the content. The external Super AMOLED screen is again 3.4 inches with a resolution of 720x480 pixels and many supported widgets. Both support HDR10+ to "serve" the compatible content accordingly.
At the "heart" of the device, we find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 12GB RAM, and storage space of 256GB/512GB, while a significant difference is in the battery, which has increased to 4000mAh and supports both wired and wireless charging. There are also changes in this model's cameras, as the main one has a 50MP sensor and optical stabilizer, accompanied by an ultra-wide 12MP camera and a 10MP selfie camera. Both will capture photos and videos that will later be enhanced with AI.
The phone comes with Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 and many Galaxy AI features that will help you be more efficient from the simplest to the most complex tasks. The Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 will be released on July 24 in Mint, Blue, Yellow, and Silver Shadow colors, with prices ranging from €1249 to €1369.
