The new Gel-Nimbus 28 that have just been released, are one of the most comfortable models in the ASICS Performance Running Footwear series. They are ideal for daily training, long distances, and runners who want premium comfort in every step. They are about 25g lighter than the previous model, offering an even smoother and more effortless running experience. 

The midsole combines FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning technology with the new PureGEL®, creating an exceptionally soft, lightweight, and “cloud-like” stride. The upper is made from engineered knit, providing a comfortable fit, stable support, and improved breathability.

Velvety shock-absorbing protection

At the heart of comfort lies the FF BLAST™ PLUS shock-absorbing protection from ASICS, which offers soft landings that feel like running on clouds and supports a smoother, more effortless stride. The shoe features PureGEL™, a softer, updated version of ASICS’s famous GEL™ technology, placed under the heel to ensure the same reliable shock absorption in a lighter, more refined form.

Weight Reduction

The significant weight reduction (approximately 25 g) has been achieved through updates to the construction of the outsole, a new material in the upper, and a renewed heel design. The HYBRID ASICSGRIP™ outsole has been improved while maintaining durable traction where needed, and the knitted upper retains the excellent breathability of the previous model, while also providing a softer, lighter, and more comfortable fit.

Modern and Sophisticated Appearance

The updated heel design further contributes to weight reduction, while also creating a sleek, modern look. Together, these upgrades create a lighter overall feel without sacrificing the plush cushioning that characterizes the GEL-NIMBUS series. Additionally, the new tongue makes it easier to put on the shoe, providing a comfortable fit that enhances the overall running experience.  The new perforated design minimizes visible eyelets on the upper, creating a sleek, modern, and sophisticated appearance.
