Four New Models, Prices and Availability

Google confirmed the multi-device strategy it started with previous series, introducing 4 models.

Although prices appear to have increased by €100 compared to the 10 series, the base versions now start at 256GB of storage, which partly explains the increase.

Technical specifications: The Displays "Broke the Charts"

One of the biggest surprises of the presentation was the dramatic increase in display brightness (nits), which leaves behind the initial rumors that spoke of much lower numbers.

Design and the arrival of “Pixel Glow”

In terms of design, the Pixel 11 series follows in the successful footsteps of its predecessors, but the distinctive camera bump (camera bar) has received a “facelift.” Instead of a metal frame around the lenses, we see a completely blacked-out camera frame, offering a cleaner and more minimalist look.

As had leaked, the temperature sensor has been removed from the Pro models. In its place comes the brand-new “Pixel Glow” system! This is an integrated RGB LED light that “wraps around” the camera frame and functions as a notification light with customizable colors (slightly reminiscent of Nothing’s Glyph lights).

Tensor G6 & Battery: A Huge Leap

The most interesting part of the new Pixels is their internal hardware. The new Tensor G6 processor is built on TSMC’s N2 (2nm) architecture. This translates into much better thermal management (largely eliminating overheating), increased battery life, and significantly better performance. At the “heart” of the processor is a powerful ARM Cortex core clocked at an impressive 4.11 GHz!

The rumored modem change has been confirmed. Google has abandoned Samsung (Exynos) modems and moved to the MediaTek M90. This change is expected to permanently solve signal and connectivity issues. Finally, there is a completely new Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), a new GXP image co-processor, a PowerVR GPU, and an upgraded Titan M3 security chip.

Battery and Charging: Battery capacities have been revealed (the standard Pixel 11 reaches 4,985 mAh, the Pro 4,850 mAh, the Pro XL 5,115 mAh, and the Fold is around 4,700 mAh). In addition, wired charging speed has increased to 45W.

Cameras and RAM

In the camera department, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL focus on evolution. They feature powerful hardware with a triple camera setup (50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom). The biggest improvements come from image processing through the Tensor G6 and Google’s new, even more advanced AI capabilities.

As for RAM, the base versions of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL finally start with 12GB RAM, while the versions with larger storage capacity (512GB and above) come with 16GB.

The Pixel 11 series is ultimately aimed at those looking for absolute stability (new modem, 2nm processor), impressive record-bright displays, as well as smart design touches like Pixel Glow.
