Apple iPhone Duo (12/256GB) Night Sky
  • 2026 model
  • 7.6" foldable display
  • 5.4" external display
  • A20 Pro processor

Design: Titanium, IP68, and the thinnest iPhone ever

The iPhone Duo opens like a book, and its two displays have the same aspect ratio, allowing apps to move seamlessly from one to the other.

  • Premium build: A body made of Grade 5 titanium with a polished, mirror-like finish and a hinge with more than 100 components, which supports the center of the display when open.

  • Durability: Ceramic Shield 2 on the outer display and an IP68 rating (up to 6 meters for 30 minutes).

  • Dimensions: At just 5.2 mm thick when open, it is the thinnest iPhone to date. It measures 11.3 mm when closed and weighs 254 g.

  • Colors: Available in Star White and Night Sky (dark blue).

Screens: Compact when closed, tablet when open

  • 5.4-inch outer display: Offers about 90% of the screen area of an iPhone 18 Pro in a much more compact size.

  • 7.6-inch inner display: According to Apple, it is 50% larger than the display on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

  • Nano-texture & invisible camera: The inner display features a matte nano-texture finish that reduces reflections and makes the crease less noticeable, while the FaceTime camera is hidden beneath the panel.

  • ProMotion & brightness: Both displays are OLED with 120Hz ProMotion, Always-On, and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits outdoors.

Performance, cameras, and battery

  • 2nm A20 Pro: The same chip as the iPhone 18 Pro, paired with a Vapor Chamber cooling system. Apple promises up to 35% better sustained performance compared to the iPhone 17 Pro.

  • Touch ID instead of Face ID: Unlock your device with Touch ID on the side button, whether the device is open or closed. Unlocking with Apple Watch is also supported.

  • Cameras: On the back, you’ll find a 48MP Fusion main camera with 2x optical-quality zoom and a 48MP Ultra Wide camera with macro mode, plus video recording up to 4K at 120fps in Dolby Vision. Camera Control is also included, but there’s no dedicated telephoto lens.

  • Battery: With two batteries (one in each half), it offers up to 24 hours of mixed use. It charges to 50% in about 20 minutes via wired charging (with a 60W+ charger), and supports MagSafe and Qi2 up to 25W.

  • Connectivity: New Apple C2 modem, N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Please note: it works exclusively with eSIM, with no slot for a physical SIM card.

iOS 27: Designed for two screens

The iPhone Duo comes with iOS 27.1 preinstalled and features designed specifically for its new form factor:

  • Multitasking: Split View lets you use two apps (or two windows of the same app) at the same time on the inner screen.

  • Hands-free use: Partially unfolded, it stands on its own for FaceTime, video, or StandBy, without needing to be charging.

  • Bonus: Later this year, it will gain support for Apple Pencil (USB-C) on both screens!

How much does it cost?

The iPhone Duo is available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions. In Greece, prices start at €2,399 for the 256GB version and go up to €3,949 for the 2TB version, making it the most expensive iPhone to date.

When is it coming?

Preorders for the iPhone Duo open on Friday, October 16 at 15:00 (Greece time), with the launch starting on Friday, October 23.

If you want one on day one, it would be wise to act quickly: according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple feared production issues could push availability back to late November. The launch will go ahead as planned, but stock is expected to be limited.
