Rackets
Are you a beginner or advanced? Do you want powerful hits to make the best smashes? Find the ideal racket for you!
Before buying a paddle racket, you need to carefully check its weight. Besides the weight, pay attention to the shape. Paddle rackets are divided into 3 categories based on their shape:
Round: it is versatile and provides excellent control, which is a great advantage for casual and defensive players.
Tear: it has balance near the middle and offers a perfect combination of power and control.
Diamond: this type of racket is clearly the most powerful. It fits perfectly for players with an aggressive spirit, especially those who play on the left side of the court.
Bags
A paddle bag can hold up to 9 rackets! No matter how many you have, find the ideal size based on your needs and equipment.
Shoes
Paddle shoes require quick movement transitions, stability, and good traction. Their sole is designed to 'stick' to the court surface. The shoes should facilitate sliding. A herringbone sole has very strong grip, with the herringbone pattern being more effective on synthetic turf.
In paddle, your center of gravity during action is low. Good shock absorption from the shoes will help you maintain proper balance and posture.
Balls
Every match starts with a new set of three balls! Estimate that each set lasts for one to two matches.
Accessories
Choose the best accessories for stability and protection of your racket.
- Remember to change your racket grip every month.
- Protective covers are designed to shield your racket from any impact or abrasion.
- The wrist strap is essential to prevent the racket from slipping out of your hand.

When and how did padel start?
In 1969, Enrique Corcuera decided to create a squash court at his home in Mexico, incorporating elements from Platform Tennis, which he called "Paddle Corcuera" and which would be considered the first padel court. With a few modifications to Enrique's original plans to make it more competitive, the beginning of a new sport that won over all of Spain was marked.
In Greece, it first appeared very recently, namely during the lockdown period! Padel is an explosive combination of tennis, squash, and beach racket. It is the most fun and one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. You will often hear it compared to tennis, but padel has a slightly different technique and equipment and is considered easier for someone who is just starting out. Let's see what you'll need!
