Why choose an All-in-One PC
Why should you turn to an All in One PC
Whoever has found themselves in the process of buying a new computer and doesn't have something very specific in mind, the most likely thing is that they have come across the so-called All-In-One PCs (hereafter AIO). The first time I saw them, they didn't impress me, to tell the truth, but the more I read about them, the more I wondered if they might actually be a more suitable choice for what I needed.
To find a solution to my concerns, I asked myself a few questions:
- How much space do I have available in my office?
- Do I care about the appearance at all?
- How likely am I to change its position periodically within the house?
- How easy do I want its installation to be?
1. Space - This is the curse!
Compared to traditional desktop PCs, AIOs are designed with the power supply, memory, processor, graphics card, and generally everything else a computer needs to operate, integrated together with the screen. Thus, no more multiple cables taking up space and collecting dust, while the space occupied by the computer on the desk is dramatically reduced.
2. When "appearance" matters
Due to their relatively smaller size, special emphasis is placed on design to fit in any environment or office. Many of them come with unique finishes, impressive colors, and aesthetics that will satisfy even the most demanding.
3. Go... almost everywhere
Although they are siblings of the classic desktop computers that are permanently placed in one spot in the room, AIOs, precisely because of their compact construction, provide greater convenience in transportation. From changing positions on the desk, to another room, or even taking it with you to your vacation home, AIOs will free your hands in this aspect as (in most cases) their weight is not prohibitive.
4. Easy installation
What could be more convenient than pressing a button and everything working perfectly. Even the least experienced user needs nothing more than connecting the computer to the power outlet, connecting the mouse and keyboard (if they prefer cables and not wireless) and in no time they will be able to work, browse the internet and use their favorite programs.
In conclusion
Although at first someone may be skeptical about them like me, I believe they have enough advantages to be given a chance to shine, being able to cover a wide range of needs, from the most beginner to the most demanding user.
