Waffle: The weave that creates small squares and visually resembles a waffle. These "dimples" act as pockets that trap water. It is ultra absorbent and dries quickly.
Terrycloth: It is the classic weave, with small upright loops (nubs). It is the thickest weave, extra absorbent, but if it is cotton it may leave some lint on glasses.
Pique: It resembles waffle, but its embossed pattern (usually small diamonds or parallel lines) is much smaller, flatter, and denser. It is a more elegant, "sturdy" towel, ideal for drying your hands.
