Clear- Cassette: Rear gear system that fits onto a cassette body (freehub). Requires compatibility with the number of speeds and the bike's freehub type.
- Freewheel: Rear gear system that screws directly onto the hub. Used on older or budget bicycles and is not compatible with cassettes.
- Single Sprocket: A single rear cog for single-speed or fixed gear bicycles. Does not use a multi-speed system.
