Alto: The most popular and classic saxophone. It is medium-sized, has a bright sound, and is the ideal choice for beginners and students.
Tenor: Larger in size, with a characteristic curved neck. It produces a deeper, “warm” and husky sound, being the ultimate star of Jazz and Rock music.
Soprano: Small and usually straight (like a clarinet). Produces very high,
Baritone: Large, heavy, and with extra bends in the tube. It produces very low, bass frequencies and keeps the rhythm and foundation in orchestras.
Electronic: Digital wind instruments (Aerophone-type) that use breath sensors but produce sounds through a synthesizer, allowing practice with headphones and instrument changes.
Sopranino: An extremely small and rare saxophone that plays in an even higher (sharper) pitch range than the Soprano.
Bass: A huge and rare instrument with an exceptionally deep, imposing bass sound, used mainly in large, specialized wind orchestras.
