    It produces wines with high acidity, strong tannins, and complex aromas that evolve with aging: from red fruits (cranberry, strawberry) and flowers, to tomato, olive, spices, and leather. It is often compared to Nebbiolo.

    Thessalian red variety; produces mild, fruity wines; ideal with pasta.
