Very good book, perhaps one of the best after "Katerina". It touches you, it is "heavy" without overwhelming you, with excellent transitions.

Description & Specifications

On December 28, 2008, at three in the morning, my greatest fear became reality: as it's commonly said, I went crazy. My mind – my world – collapsed, and in its place, a powerful obsession took hold, feeding off myself like a parasite and growing with the paranoid ideas that it produced ceaselessly: I was the new Dalai Lama, the Guardian in the rye, paid killers were lurking at my heels.

In this delirium of mine, still vividly present in my memory, during my brief hospitalization and in my subsequent, deadly depression, I dragged and led all the people of my heart into despair, who saw me suddenly fragmented by an uncontrollable mental illness. The gloomy December of '08 in numb Athens. The sacred red color. And my suicidal mother, who years later returns from Hades.

In this book, I wrote everything I remember, without changing anything and keeping nothing hidden. Because thanks to these unimaginable days, I managed, amidst the ruins of my mind, to find a new self and the difficult path that leads to mental peace. And while my story seems unique, the monster of mental illness and the fear it spreads is common to all of us, just as is the beast of love and every human strength. Because our soul is not made to settle for unhappiness.
