I prefer lungo but I used to buy the classic capsule and run a little extra hot water. In fact, I used to mock the logic of getting special capsules just for lungo. Then, I accidentally got a batch of lungo (the packages look similar) and I was surprised. I can't explain it but the result was simply better. The next time, I bought regular capsules again (being skeptical) and, yes, I liked them less than the lungo. Conclusion? If you like lungo, prefer lungo capsules. Illy knows something!
