In this volume, I have gathered fifty-four of my translations from the complete works of Pablo Neruda: essentially, it is a sparse selection of poems spanning a fifty-year period - from the emblematic collection Veinte poemas de amor y una cancion desesperada published in 1924 to the cycle Jardin de invierno, which was published in 1974, a year after the poet's death.

Some of these - not many, though! - I had previously published either in my own books or in magazines; here they are presented somewhat reworked. Most of the translations are old: from the mid and late 1980s. It goes without saying that they also underwent some processing.

About twenty are 'fresh' translations - in fact, they may also require some reworking in the future. We'll see! . . .
