Excellent on stainless steel and nickel-plated surfaces. I use it often to clean and polish not only the metal parts of my car, but also my inox kitchen and my collection of nickel-plated snare drums that I own. It leaves a thin protective film at the end and the shine lasts for a long time. After several months I have used about 1/3 of it. You don't need much to achieve a good result. Quite the opposite, actually. It does not remove scratches, it is extra fine.
