SurfaPaint Aqua X is an acrylic cold water-based paint ideal for surfaces with high humidity.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

The formulation of SurfaPaint Aqua X protects and waterproofs the painted surfaces, allowing them to breathe. It waterproofs the painted surface, preventing external moisture and rainwater from penetrating. Water droplets do not absorb into the substrate but remain on the surface, while simultaneously allowing internal vapors to pass through the paint, letting the wall breathe. Its high reflectivity makes it a "cool color." It is ideal for construction surfaces exposed to high humidity levels and adverse environmental conditions such as coastal areas. It shows very good adherence to the application substrate and elasticity. It is available in white and can only be tinted in light shades. SurfaPaint Aqua X is a cool paint, certified by the European Cool Roofs Council (ECRC).

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Application: SurfaPaint Aqua X can be applied directly to external and internal wall surfaces (masonry, concrete, drywall) and wherever water-based acrylic paints are applied. New cement substrates and new masonry should have cured for more than 3-4 weeks before applying the primer. For best results, use SurfaMix P for priming. Adverse conditions during or immediately after application may affect the properties of the coating.

Preparation: Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry before application. Remove dust and dirt.

Application instructions: Mix well before application. For cracks larger than 1mm, cover the gap with a suitable filler. If dilution is required, add up to 10% water by volume. The application temperature should be between 8-35⁰C. Apply 2-3 coats using a high-quality brush, roller, or spray with a nozzle diameter of 1.4 mm or more. Do not apply more than the recommended amount. Ensure that corners and edges are adequately covered. Additional layers should be applied 4-6 hours after the previous application.
