Description
The access point Aironet AIR-AP2802I-E-K9C by Cisco is useful for creating or extending a wireless network to connect multiple devices. It emits a signal at two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz. It offers higher speeds compared to single band and connection of more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most widespread and has a large range. The 5Ghz provides higher speed than the 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g., walls) that reduce its range. This difference and its more limited use help it to have fewer interferences from other networks. Offers up to 2200Mbps in total to devices connected to it. In practice the actual speed shared with devices is closer to 400Mbps. It is Wi-Fi 5 generation, the most widespread Wi-Fi standard, which can meet the needs of most users at present. There is also the next generation Wi-Fi 6 that offers the ability to connect many more devices to serve the increasing smart devices in a home.
