This volume is published as part of the "Georgios Pachymaris, Philosophy" Program of the Research Center for Greek and Latin Literature (KEELG) of the Academy of Athens.

This program was inaugurated in 2002 with the critical edition (editio princeps) of the work "Metaphysics," namely the tenth book of "Philosophy," prepared by the Center's researcher, Eleni Pappa.

With the critical edition of the eleventh, and penultimate, book of "Philosophy," where the "Nicomachean Ethics" of Aristotle are presented "in type and in summary," the effort continues for the first critical edition of the entire work.
