This book is the result of a long-term effort and an even greater ambition: to provide prospective students of the positive and technological direction, as well as the teachers of the subject, with an aid that fully meets the requirements of the nationwide exams. The main body of the book is based on the author's tutoring notes, which have been successfully used in the classroom for several years.
The structure of the book is such that it can work on two levels: first, for the student who wants to have a decent presence in the entrance exams and, second, for the "inquisitive" student who strives for excellence.
The organization of the material follows the following steps:
1. Theory accompanied by observations and comments.
2. Methodology, several solved examples, as well as comprehension questions.
3. Reinforcement exercises and a topic bank for practice.
4. General topics that give the student the opportunity to test their strengths and face a type of topics similar to those they will be examined on.
The observations, comments, methodology, and several exercises are ideas of the author, resulting from his twenty-year presence at the board. For the remaining exercises, the following sources were used:
- Greek bibliography and mathematical journals
- O.E.F.E. topics, as well as topics from websites
- Foreign bibliography, mainly from Romania and Bulgaria, which are more compatible with the Greek reality. [...] (from the book's preface)
