Unbelievable processor. I've had it for 3 years and it has never disappointed me. Extremely powerful. I recommend going for the new implementations 10600k - 11600k, where you can get a better processor for the same amount of money. If you find it used for 100-130, I highly recommend it!

After using it for almost 3 years, I can say that it is very powerful, with normal temperatures. I will definitely keep it, but only if everything goes well for another 3 years. I bought it for 220€. At 300+€ that it costs now... I don't know if I would buy it.

Although I chose it for the possibility of overclocking, I believe that ultimately it does not need to run everything satisfactorily. I don't see the reason for something bigger. At 309 euros, I don't think it's a good purchase, since its replacement has about half the price. ...290521, and in the end, I overclocked it. It works flawlessly at 4.8 without any trouble. Above that, it is not stable and needs tweaking in the voltage, which will happen later as well. Of course, temperature is also an issue, but since I have liquid cooling, it doesn't create a problem for me. Logically, it will need to be changed in the future if the frequency increases further.

I have paired it with a cryorig h7 at 4.7 with chrome youtube, fb and various other things, and it stays at a steady 38 degrees. In gaming, the highest I have seen is 60 after several hours (6-7) consistently. Whatever I say is very little, I am fully satisfied.

A medium user for powerful gaming for movies and browsing with a little overclock (4.5-4.7 MHz) will never struggle with it with today's standards (not even reach above 65%). As for temperatures above 67 degrees in stress tests with a decent liquid cooling that I have, I didn't see. In idle, 40 degrees (July), in gaming 50-55 max. Even now in 2022, the processor is great, it never bothered me at all. And if I did

I created a system with this specific processor exclusively for gaming in November 2018. I bought it for about 250 euros. I haven't overclocked it yet since it runs everything at 4.2 GHz. I use it daily for an average of 8-10 hours for gaming with intense multitasking (YouTube, Chrome windows, various other apps) and it doesn't lag at all. Temperatures during gaming range from 60-70°C with an Arctic air cooler. I am extremely satisfied with its performance so far. Since the 9th generation processors have been released, I believe that if you need the extra features offered by the new models, you should buy the new series (the Z370 motherboard is compatible via a BIOS update). If you're not interested in the new features, then I don't think there's a reason to buy the 9th generation product, even though the price difference is small (about 10-15 euros at the moment).

The processor was purchased for €250, I see that many say it is not worth more than €220 but its price has not dropped in the last 7-8 months. Even now in 2019, it is a beast of a processor. It has not been overclocked yet as it runs almost always at Turbo 4.2 GHz. It was purchased for a gaming setup, it is paired with an Asus Prime z370-A and G skill TridentZ RGB 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, GPU 1060 6GB, and it runs everything very smoothly in many games at a stable 144fps (since I have a 144hz monitor). In multitasking with open games, browsers, Discord, and other open applications, it does not exceed 40% load, and with an NZXT Kraken x62 AIO on top, it does not exceed 35C.
I believe it is an excellent choice even today. Overclocking will be done soon as it is a beast with the factory turbo mode! I highly recommend it!

At the current price, I would rather get the 9600K, although I don't think it's worth that much money either (270-280 euros).

The processor has low temperatures but impressive performance differences in games. From there on, it is unacceptable for everyone as they constantly raise prices with various excuses in all types of consumables. I bought it for 280 two to three weeks ago!! Besides, I will change my hobby with what they do and they will keep the expensive product like mining (excuse) in their stores to increase prices.

I found it at 218€ and bought it immediately. It reaches 4.9ghz with 1.31V on the MSI Z370 A-Pro and in demanding games like Far Cry 5 ultra graphics, it doesn't exceed 70 degrees in instant spikes. With the Noctua NH-D15 and good airflow with 2+2 front/top Noctua case fans, it consistently averages 55 degrees in most games. It gave at least 10fps on highest settings in every game I tried it with (in some cases I saw +30fps) with an Nvidia GTX 1080. I had the i5 7600k and upgraded just 3 weeks ago only because I found it at a very good price, but along the way, the huge differences in multitasking became apparent while having a game open or working simultaneously on multiple programs. Honestly, I don't know if it's worth getting at the price it has skyrocketed to at the moment. If you have a 6th or 7th generation CPU, it's better to wait unless you find it much cheaper than the +300€ it's currently being sold for.

Perhaps one of the best processors especially for gaming right now.

    - Value for money
    - Low temperatures
    - There is no card that causes bottleneck at the moment (I am using it with an RX 580)
    - I can't find anything negative unless you use your PC as a workshop for very heavy applications that use extra cores, then there are even better options of course for a lot of money. Most games use the 4 cores and this one has 6, which means it is also suitable for heavy programs unless it's about 4k videos extract, for example, where every extra core counts :)

4 stars easily... The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it's quite hot despite using water cooling... Of course, it could be the water cooling's fault... But it's definitely worth its money and more

Real beast, easy overclock to 5ghz with 1.35vCore and even higher with good cooling because it gets hot. In gaming usage, it is preferable to 8700k purely because of the price. For those who use it professionally and need cores, go for 8700K or Ryzen, but this one also does its job very well. However, in gaming, it is the boss due to its single core performance.
Buy it and you won't regret it.
Pay attention to the motherboard because they often get confused, the processor requires Z370. It does not fit in Z170, Z270, even if it is 1151 socket.

It is a monster in gaming, it will never betray you, especially now at 230, there is no reason for me if someone wants a processor purely for gaming to go for Ryzen...
and for god's sake, I don't have any fixation with Intel, I just say that it is worth more than Ryzen in the gaming sector.

The processor is very good. It works perfectly and I haven't encountered any issues so far. The temperatures are very good. Excellent for gaming and very good for overclocking. I have paired it with the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 cooling system and I have it running at 5Ghz with temperatures of 20 degrees in idle and 68 degrees at full performance. 10/10

In my opinion, the best processor for gaming at the moment, based on its price as well. I've had it for a month now and it doesn't lag anywhere. It can be easily overclocked from the BIOS (MSI Z-370 Pro A motherboard), and I have it consistently at 4.4 GHz without touching the voltage at all. In benchmarks, it reached a maximum of 62-65 degrees Celsius, and in gaming at 1080p Ultra, it stays around 45-50 degrees. For cooling, I have a Cooler Master 212 Evo (a reliable choice!!). By slightly increasing the voltage, it reached 5 GHz!!!

I come from an fx8320, huge difference in gaming performance, processing, and multitasking. I would have gone for the 8400, but I wanted the PC to last for a long time. The 8600k easily reaches 5ghz with some voltage changes on the MSI Z370 SLI PLUS motherboard. I run it with a silent bequiet dark rock 3 cooler. 10/10 recommended

The best processor I could buy with 210-220 euros.

I have it at 5G with 1.24 voltage on a z370aorus gaming 5 motherboard, whatever I say is not enough. I bought it for about 230€, it reaches around 50-60 degrees in games and 30-40 degrees in regular use with the nzxt x62

In simple everyday use, it doesn't feel like anything. If I need to add something, I will do it soon when I unleash it!

Awesome CPU for gaming.. Together with a good GPU, it does an amazing job in gaming and with very good temperatures. With Kraken X62, I never exceed 27-28 degrees in idle and it's unlikely to go above 60 degrees under load.

Temperatures with air cooling idle 35-40 and load/gaming 45-55. With the TX3 EVO, I didn't expect anything better, I will go for CoolerMaster liquid cooling in the future. It was a big upgrade from i3 3220. Very satisfactory for gaming and office applications, I haven't done any image rendering yet, but it performs wonderfully in Reaper
