Description

Description

ABS filament Yellow 2.85 mm 1000 g for 3D printers is of excellent quality, produced in the Netherlands. Real filaments guarantees that the ABS is high quality and with a consistent diameter, offering the best 3D printing experience.

Generally, a heated bed is required for printing with ABS and a heated chamber is preferred. The Real filament ABS range also includes ABS plus and Pro, which facilitate printing.

ABS is a base material, optimized for 3D printing, providing the best possible performance. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament has been used for 3D printing for a long time.

While in the past it was the most popular material for 3D printing, due to its properties such as high shrinkage, it is difficult to work with. Compared to other materials, ABS retains certain advantages, such as resistance to gasoline and opacity.

Although it is less environmentally friendly compared to PLA, ABS is an oil-based product and releases an unpleasant chemical odor during printing, so it is better to use it in well-ventilated areas.

This filament requires more effort to print correctly. If you are using ABS to print small strong parts, you might be able to use simple 3DLAC on a heated bed at 65-80 degrees.

Kapton tape is another product on which ABS can be printed, but it will require higher temperatures around 110 degrees. For extruding the filament, a temperature of 245 degrees is recommended, although it can also be extruded at 220 degrees; the layer adhesion will not be as strong.

For larger prints, prefer first the PETG filament, as without a heated chamber you will not be able to print this material without warping and cracking.
