From the streets of Paris to the underground catacombs of the city, the search for the truth behind The King in Yellow takes you further and further away from the familiar landmarks of Arkham. But the streets, the language, and the mysterious, dark tunnels are not the only foreign elements in the game. There is something distinctly different in the Parisian catacombs...

In the scenario The Pallid Mask, you and your fellow players will enter these tunnels in search of a stranger whom you believe to be connected to the events surrounding the performance of The King in Yellow at the Ward Theatre in Arkham. But with each new curious twist and turn, you will find yourself only deeper into the mystery. Perhaps you can follow the tunnels all the way to the pulsating heart of the game's mysteries, but there is also a chance that you will simply become lost in the ever-changing landscape. What starts as a journey through damp and eerie stone tunnels can become a journey that leads you underground, through The Gate to Hell and straight to your death in the Well of Souls or some other forgotten chamber.

Designed to be a fan favorite, the scenario The Pallid Mask uses the game's locations in an innovative way, bringing them into the game only as you travel through them and organizing them in a constantly shifting and unpredictable manner. Every new step within these labyrinths could be your last.
