Checklist for Performing a Reliable Measurement
- Avoid physical activity, eating, or smoking immediately before the measurement.
- Sit in a chair with a backrest and relax for 5 minutes. Place your feet firmly on the floor and do not cross them.
- The measurement should always be taken on the same arm (usually the left). Doctors are recommended to take measurements on both arms during a patient's first visit to determine which arm to measure in the future. They should measure the arm with the higher pressure.
- Remove tight clothing from the arm. To avoid constriction, the shirt sleeve should not be rolled up - it does not obstruct the cuff if it is down.
- Always ensure that you are using the correct cuff size (indicated on the cuff).
Instructions for Use
- Place the cuff snugly, but not too tightly.
- Ensure that the cuff is placed 1-2 centimeters above your elbow.
- The artery indicator on the cuff (about 3 centimeters) should be positioned over the artery running along the inside of the arm.
- Support your forearm so that your hand is relaxed.
- Ensure that the cuff is at the same height as your heart.
- Press the ON/OFF button 1 to start the measurement.
- The cuff will inflate automatically. Relax, do not move, and do not tense your arm muscles until the measurement value appears. Breathe normally and do not talk.
- The measurement is taken during inflation. The inflation speed may vary; this is a normal phenomenon.
- During the measurement, the BK pulse indicator flashes on the screen.
- The result appears, which includes systolic blood pressure AP, diastolic AQ, and pulse rate AR.
- When the measurement is complete, remove the cuff.
- Turn off the device. (The screen turns off automatically after about 1 minute).
How not to store a measurement
Once the measurement appears, press and hold the ON/OFF button
1 until the "M" BP symbol starts flashing. Confirm the deletion
of the measurement by pressing the M AK button.
You can stop the measurement at any time
by pressing the ON/OFF button (e.g., if you feel
uncomfortable or if you feel an unpleasant pressure sensation).
