I bought two in August 2025 because obviously after so many years the originals didn't last. I have a PS3 2nd Gen (SLIM) 250GB. On my console, the controllers connect the first time with the classic trick where you plug them in and turn them on. After that, they generally remain connected (i.e., you turn on the console from the PS button, etc.). In terms of sturdiness, weight, feel, vibration, etc., I am very satisfied, although I have forgotten what it feels like to hold a brand new DUALSHOCK 3 to compare. However, I think they are very close. In my case, both work perfectly and were worth the purchase, compared to some others I had tried in the past (wireless and not). Also, there may be cases of defective products. Fortunately or unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. Definitely avoid controllers with bt usb and prefer this style. Now, whether it will last over time, to be honest, I don't care. I didn't expect for 9 euros to get something that would last me 17 years like the originals. For now, I do my job just fine, and if they last 1 to 1.5 years, I'll still be satisfied. That's all from me and 5 stars for this little gem!

First of all, I want to emphasize that, as others have mentioned in their reviews, I couldn't connect it wirelessly via Bluetooth to my PS3, even though I followed the instructions on the box and even tried it on two different PS3 consoles, the slim 320 GB and the ultra slim 500 GB. Maybe it works wirelessly with older models, but I don't know. In any case, it works perfectly with a simple USB cable that costs 1-2 euros. So, if you absolutely want to use it wirelessly, it's better not to buy it.

Other than that, I am satisfied. I paid 8.50 euros for it, and for this price, the build quality is quite good, but it doesn't come close to the original Sony controller by any means. The plastics are of good quality, the buttons are easy to press, and the analog sticks provide a good sense of control, but the R2 and L2 triggers, although they are indeed analog, unfortunately, are not as precise. You will notice this if you try to play racing simulators, where the acceleration of the vehicle is quite abrupt and not progressive as it should be. However, it works fine in most games. Also, in some fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat Vs DC, I couldn't perform the more complex combos and fatalities that required fast button presses. No matter how hard I tried, the controller didn't seem capable of registering buttons that are pressed very quickly one after the other. However, I didn't have much of a problem with Super Street Fighter 4.

In any case, I mainly play 3rd person action games like God of War, Dark Souls, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid, and for these types of games, the controller works perfectly, so I have no complaints. I haven't tried it on PC though.
