Ergonomics has succeeded in earning the title of "science," as in recent years the methodology and research through which the correct methods and applications of various human activities and tasks are demonstrated have increasingly improved and been documented, with the primary concern being the physical safety and productivity of individuals.

For this reason, ergonomics collaborates with other humanities sciences, such as Medicine and Physical Therapy, through mutually beneficial exchanges of observations-applications and methods of preventing physical strains.

Thus, teaching the basic principles of ergonomics is deemed necessary, through which we will be led to thoughts and actions for more effective prevention of physical syndromes and strains arising from occupational engagement. (from the author's foreword)
