A first look.
Purchased at the price of €407 plus "accessories" and assembled on 10/3/2021.
The spaces it has are unlimited for assembling any composition. It provides everything one may need for composition assembly.
- In terms of disks, you can either put 6 disks on the back side borrowing the slots from the central disk stand, or put up to 12 disks on the same disk stand. There is a downside here, in the placement of the disks on the stand where you may struggle a bit because there is no space on the back side to easily make the connections. HDDs and SSDs can also be placed in the same slots.
- The 4 fans it has (3 in the front and 1 in the back) are completely silent.
- With 2 screws on each side, the side panels (made of glass) open like windows and come off with a simple upward movement from the hinges.
- The top part comes off easily to accommodate a processor cooler or assist in any assembly needs.
- It supports one graphics card in a vertical position. However, be careful because from what I researched, it only supports up to PCI Express 3.0 and not PCI Express 4.0. I'm not 100% sure about this, so check it first before deciding on the placement of the card if you are planning to use a PCI Express 4.0. I'm not referring to the weight and size of the card, but the wiring (card connection to the motherboard).
- There is enough space to accommodate large graphics cards, and if the disk stand is removed, there is space to put one behind the other (so to speak).
- In terms of power supply size, don't worry. The Corsair HXi Series HX1200i 1200W Full Modular 80 Plus Platinum gets lost in a corner. In the series, you can install 3 of them (if the disk stand is removed).
- Dust filters on top, bottom, and front. I don't like the bottom one as it is (with an external magnet on the case). It may be convenient, but it is also vulnerable.
- There are plenty of holes in the middle partition to pass cables through, so they can reach everywhere without being visible from the "good" side.
- Another small downside is that the cable of the front (external) USB type C is relatively short and barely reaches the motherboard to connect in its place without having the luxury to "hide" the cable.
- On the company's website, you will find software that manages the colors (and more) of the fans.
I am very satisfied with the purchase and what it provides. If you have the money to spare, it is definitely worth it, perhaps to a surplus degree. I would have liked it to have wheels for easier movement, for example, for cleaning, especially outside the house (it requires two people to move it).
WARNING: It is huge and very heavy. Before purchasing it, test its dimensions in the space where you plan to place it. There is a possibility that it may not fit. If you are considering placing it on a table, make sure the table can withstand the weight.
