For the first time in history, Casio put in a G-Shock in 2018, for the 35 years since the first G, such a mirror display, (Metallic Mirror Face) in gold, and (silver color in the other model DW-5600BBMA-1ER), and also in the DW-5700. Shiny indeed, tasteful and luxurious as well.
It may come in handy to admire your own beauty in the mirror, to shave occasionally, to use it as an SOS signal mirror if you happen to get lost, for the helicopter that will be searching for you, or to blind the people around you in the summer at the beach. It fits perfectly with the gold-plated buttons, screws and buckle, and the very high-quality case and strap in deep matte black color. The watch also suits a woman; as a whole it exudes tasteful luxury, it looks like a jewel on the wrist, it can be worn with smart clothing, it has the basic functions, time - multi-alarm duration 20'' - countdown with repeat, stopwatch, and its display is clear for people with presbyopia, in cloudy weather, sunshine, even in low-light conditions (with a little concentration), and its illumination is very good. Its size and how it sits on the wrist are, for me, just right, neither small nor bulky.
Its price so far is the lowest.
    The drawback, the shame
and the very serious mistake... the removal of dual time
from the menu, the different position of the light button, the case made of resin instead of steel, and its 2-year battery, which probably, if you don't overuse the light, will last much longer. The Japanese should have left the DW 5600 at least intact in the menu, the light position, and the 10-year battery of the first G-Shock, which is one and the same face.
    7/2026.
After 6 and a half years I changed the battery. It is now sold for €190 from €70 that I bought it for, if that is possible. It probably plays the luxury time piece and limited. The gold-plated buttons and buckle have remained unchanged.
