I bought this sub without listening to it solely based on the great reviews it has on the internet and because I trust Klipsch since I have all their other 5.1 speakers and they are amazing! I decided to get the sub last and upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1. I was disappointed as soon as I connected it to the point where I called the store I bought it from to return it the next day. After they told me I couldn't return it, I called various sellers and they were all surprised. With many tests on the Hz and volume, I almost got it to where I wanted it. Here are my conclusions:
The bass is weak in volume even though it's a 12-inch sub. If you set it to 80Hz, which is where I have it, and increase the volume, you don't hear it loud enough, especially for me who has many big speakers.
Increasing the volume, the sound becomes distorted and makes a buzzing and sustained noise. It doesn't have that dry and sharp sound that I would like in the bass, it makes a bothersome buzzing sound.
In movies, there is no problem, it plays just fine.
It has a quality and sturdy construction, but I wouldn't buy it again

    Excellent value for money.
    Pay attention to the settings.
It is good to use the settings from the amplifier and set the frequency control on the subwoofer to the highest setting.
Volume also requires experimentation, especially if you have a second subwoofer.
In my system, I use it from 90Hz and below.
Honest and quality product for its price, especially for movies.
For music, I repeat, pay attention to the settings.
