The Sprechen - Schreiben - Mitreden is a practice book for written (essay) and oral (lecture) communication at the advanced level (Oberstufe). It can be used from level C1 and prepares primarily for the "Lecture" (Vortrag) part of the Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (KDS, Goethe-Zertifikat C2) and Gro?es Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS) exams, for the "Essay" (Aufsatz) part of the Gro?es Deutsches Sprachdiplom exam, as well as for the entrance exams for German Philology. At the same time, it contributes to the improvement of expression and vocabulary through systematic language practice. An introductory chapter deals with the various forms of question formulation and the structure of the essay and lecture, as well as the various ways of presenting a topic. The following 30 chapters process equivalent thematic units in terms of content and vocabulary. In each chapter, a topic is selected, which is developed in detail. At the same time, important basic knowledge, expressive means, and ways of formulation are provided to the student, as well as a framework as an example for the structure of the text. Linguistic exercises related to the topic and comprehensive vocabulary lists that contribute decisively to accurate expression follow. Each chapter is completed with additional topics for development on the specific thematic unit, which the student can now work on independently. An appendix at the end of the book with all the expressive means, which the student can refer to at any time, completes this valuable aid.
