I've had it for quite a while... no problems, the only noise it makes is a slight one from the fans when I put on a heavy game... Luckily, I got it for €1,200

First of all, I will say that the 4 stars are purely a matter of cost. NO implementation should exceed 1200 euros based on performance. In terms of performance, more or less all implementations are the same, so don't hesitate to get the cheapest one you can find. However, if you are also interested in effective cooling, noise, several VRMs, and overclocking, then this is one of the best implementations. I didn't factor in the appearance because it's something purely subjective, although this black PCB is, in my opinion, impressive. Overall, the card does what it promises and more; it is the best implementation from Asus with this chipset, but it is quite pricey. Also, the connectivity is well distributed with 2xHDMI 2.0b and 2xDP 1.4 and USB-C support. Generally, this is perhaps one of the top 3-4 solutions without a doubt, and if it weren't for the issue of poor pricing, it would easily get 5 stars.

I have had it for 3 days, so I will get back to you after some time. It is one of the coldest implementations and completely silent. Mine had Samsung memory; I hope it lasts long because it has a high acquisition cost.

    Update:
After almost a month, I am very satisfied. Obviously, it is the coldest and quietest implementation of this series. Idle 28°C, web browsing 30°C, 2 hours of gaming at 2K 165Hz with ultra settings G-Sync 64°C max, dual BIOS quiet-performance. I would advise using it in performance mode.

The card does not sag; it has a reinforced frame, Samsung memory, purchased from a Greek store with 3 games as a gift. Those who complain about coil whine with RTX cards, all of them have it; this one has an infinitesimal amount, and it is good to buy an expensive power supply with Japan-made capacitors to minimize it. Yes, unfortunately, there is no perfect implementation.

The price is what it is; unfortunately, if it were at 1200 euros, I don't think people would be complaining, but when the competitor sleeps, Nvidia will throw a party.

I have had the graphics card for 3 months now and so far it works without any problems at all. There are, of course, things that could have been improved, which is why I am not giving it 5 stars. Those of you who have reached the point of spending so much money on a graphics card, I believe you would be as picky as I am, I imagine. We are not talking about a small amount of money here.

    NEGATIVES

    1) There is a bit of coil whine; it’s not too intense, but it exists. You won’t hear it with headphones on or if the fans are running more than 60%. They say it’s due to the power going through the card because it has 2 8-pin connectors instead of 1 8-pin and 1 6-pin, and if you push it hard enough, it can reach instantaneous power consumption of up to 360 watts on its own.

    2) At certain times, when the fans of the card ramp up and down, it makes a slightly louder air noise, nothing special.

    3) Mine seems to be from the first batches and uses Micron GDDR6 memory, which is the cheaper option on the market, and clearly, Asus is doing this for profit and not using Samsung.

Detailed information about Micron memory and its differences with Samsung.

*It’s purely luck what memory you get from the factory because all graphics cards are made based on what they have in stock for the factories to work with. One time they buy from Samsung, another from Crucial (Micron), so don’t worry if you get Micron; you won’t have any problems at all, they are perfectly fine and will do exactly the same job. The only thing that MAY affect this, and I emphasize this, is a bit of overclocking, which is also not certain. Samsung is rumored to be able to overclock higher without this being 100% certain. There have been cases where Micron has overclocked higher than Samsung and vice versa; each chip varies.

If you’re not interested in hardcore overclocking, which in this case you shouldn’t be considering the high purchase cost, you literally don’t care :).

    4) Only 3 years warranty compared to other companies that offer 4 and 5; for the amount of money you’re spending, it’s unacceptable not to have at least 4 years.

    POSITIVES

    5) It hasn’t exceeded 65 degrees; it is, if not the coolest, one of the coolest on the market.

*Of course, these numbers are now that we have winter; I don’t know what will happen in the summer with the 40-degree heat if you don’t have air conditioning in the room.

    6) In my opinion, one of the most beautiful on the market, all black with RGB and a nice metallic backplate and a very serious design.

*Note, for no reason is it worth its money in relation to the performance it gives you, and no 2080 Ti is worth it, not just the Asus. If I had the mindset I have now, I would have bought a 2070 for around 600~650 and saved over half the money. Of course, if you are interested in having the best that exists and money is not such a concern, that’s different.

The 30~35 FPS are not worth 800 euros more.
