Philosophy is at risk precisely from the fluidity of events when it treats them as essentially given. Hence, it chooses abstract discourse in order to proceed unimpeded.
The mingling with incidents and attendant circumstances makes coherent thought appear or even become inconsistent. Philosophical discourse is a struggle with time and space, which relativize the truth. It must not succumb to the decay of the relative, thus it prefers to risk the essence.
That is why it is left with only the poetry of insight, the harmony of ideas as a means of emotional connection. It is neither a cold construct nor is the creator cold.
