Bought it about a year and a half ago for 18 euros. I've watched around 30 DVDs and burned 5-6 DVDs with it. Suddenly, it stopped reading DVDs. It makes noise when opening/closing the tray, but it wasn't particularly bothersome during operation. Asus doesn't accept electronic RMAs for this specific product. With the money I would spend on sending it back and getting it repaired, I bought 2 LG ones instead. They should last me 2-3 years. That's their reliability. The judgment is yours

Κανει θορυβο οταν ανοιγει/κλεινει το συρτασι.Κατα την λειτουργια δεν μου ειταν ιδιαιτερα ενοχλιτικος ο θορυβος. Η Asus δεν δεχεται ηλεκτρονικα RMA, για το συγγεκριμενο προιον της. Με τα χρηματα για να το στειλω και νατο ξαναπαρω,αγοραζω 2 LG. Θα με βγαλουν 2-3 χρονια. Αυτη ειναι η αξιοπιστια τους. Η κριση δικη σας
Without being used much (only a few readings and recordings), it broke down after 1.5 years. It could read some CDs but not any DVDs.
Χωρίς να εχει χρησιμοποιηθεί ιδιαίτερα (μετρημένες στα δάχτυλα αναγνώσεις-εγγραφές) στον 1,5 χρόνο παρέδωσε πνεύμα. Διάβαζε κάποια CD αλλά κανένα DVD.
So far the only negative thing I have noticed is that when I turn on the PC, it makes a brief noise for 1-2 seconds. But other than that, it's not bad and for the 15 euros you pay, you can't easily complain about what you get.
