  • Whether a stove will heat up depends on how much wood you put in. However, be careful with the quantity, don't overdo it and don't use unsuitable wood. I bought the MG300 and from the beginning the plates cracked, but this happens with all stoves and it's not a problem unless a piece breaks off. However, in the second year the damper and the brackets holding the plates melted. With some makeshift fixes to keep the plates from falling, I made it through the third year. When I cleaned it, I found that the top part where the flue connects had completely disintegrated. Unfortunately, it only lasted me three years, although I thought it was my fault because I put in too much wood and also burned a lot of pallets and pine. I bought the same one again because I had thick wood and didn't want to risk it not fitting in another stove. I stopped burning pallets and pine, I use less wood, and now we are using it for the sixth year. Despite the careful use, again the brackets holding the plates and the damper melted, and I also replaced the plates, at considerable cost. I hope this one doesn't open up at the top and lasts the year. With the money I spent on both and what I'll have to spend again, I could definitely have bought a better one.

I think it is the best purchase I have ever made. We are in an apartment over 120 sqm and it heats up the whole place even in the coldest weather.
