An impressive wine with a deep orange color and copper highlights, indicative of its 5-year aging in oak barrels.
Aromas of honey, honeycomb, butterscotch, sweet preserves, cherries in alcohol, dried fruits and nuts, with a background of cocoa and chocolate, create a particularly complex and dense aromatic profile, built on many levels.
On the palate, the wonderful balance of Samos Anthemis manages to maintain almost intact the primary freshness and noble aromas of the muscat, with the tertiary aromas of aging emerging and uniquely combining with those of dried fruits, tobacco, and chocolate, resulting in a truly "distinctive" wine.
It pairs exceptionally well with high-confectionery creations with an intense sweet character and aromatic complexity. Also, with tray-baked sweets, aged yellow cheeses, tarts and desserts with nuts, fruit tarts, foie gras with sweet quince or fig, handmade ice cream. On its own, after dinner, it delightfully accompanies a light cigar.
Served at a temperature of 12-14°C.
