  • [24/01/2015] I also bought the air conditioner 2 weeks ago, and it is an Inverter. I wanted something that would provide cooling and heating all year round. Unfortunately, my apartment building does not have central heating since last year. It works flawlessly and heats up the room very quickly and economically. The maximum power is 1,600w, as stated by the external unit, and the temperature is maintained after startup. Air heaters, pellet stoves, electric radiators, and convection heaters are completely useless and do nothing. For someone with a small house (up to 60 sqm), this air conditioner is the best purchase with quick return on investment, especially in winter.

[Update, 2023] Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not prove to be good. The cooling was satisfactory, let's say, but the heating disappointed me. It could barely keep the room from being cold. However, the electricity consumption was very high. After 2 years of use (in 2017), it started making loud noises, even though I bring a technician to check and clean it inside and out every year to ensure everything is functioning normally. In the last 2 years (specifically from 2021), the air conditioner, besides the loud noise, was also leaking fluids. Removing the unit, servicing it, and reinstalling it from scratch would cost me a lot of money, almost like buying a new one. The technician who regularly services my air conditioners informed me that this particular Midea model is NOT an inverter. I installed a power consumption meter and found that it was burning a lot more compared to another air conditioner I had purchased the same year (2015) and was an inverter. This year (2023), it reached the end of its life, and I replaced it with a new DC inverter from a different brand. I did not expect that in 2015, when I made the purchase, there would be such energy-consuming on-off air conditioners (translation: non-inverter, common, air conditioners that burn a lot of electricity and countless kWh).
In conclusion, for those who still have it, it might be time to switch to a better, modern DC inverter to avoid paying 1,000€+ to the electricity company every month.
