For however many seasons it lasts, it is fine for adults and children who know how to swim. Don’t forget to check pH and chlorine, and therefore adjust the pH with pH plus or minus depending on the measured value initially and at regular intervals. At the initial setup, give a shock with dichlor (these are chlorine granules that you mix a few grams of granules with water in a bucket and pour it into the pool; the amount is determined by first measuring the chlorine in ppm), and every month do the same, as well as after rain, and weekly the required dose in slow-release trichlor tablets for maintaining clean water. The pump must run all night and during the day normally, and preferably buy an extra large pump with a sand filter that is powerful and in two hours recirculates the entire volume of the water, replacing the fake one in the package that burns out immediately and takes many hours to filter the water.
If you have a problem with insects like swimmers that bite badly and float in the water for days laying eggs, then be careful with the amount of algaecide that kills the algae which are the insects’ food. These are flying insects and need extermination; you will buy an additional liquid product that we pour in at 100 ml per 10,000 liters of water, it is the only one that exterminates the insects and sinks them to the bottom from where you will clean them with a vacuum or net. It is sold in specific stores, search for it on Google, I cannot advertise. Finally, for the clarity of the water we add flocculant, and if you have a metal pool you leave it set up all winter and lower the water below the skimmer surface and stop the pump so the water does not freeze if you live in a cold climate; otherwise run the pump for two hours daily in a mild winter, and in both cases you will do a shock treatment at the beginning and add a liquid for water maintenance against scale, which says winter use, at the beginning of autumn and again after February, and cover the pool with a special winter cover. Rain does not affect it since you will have lowered the water level and the cover will have holes. Don’t forget a dose of slow-release trichlor tablet every two to three months in winter.
These pools are built to withstand winter (unless you live in an area of Northern Greece with very low-temperature winters) according to international standards; if you dismantle them, they will wear out faster with setting them up every summer and taking them down in autumn.
I am writing from experience, 25 years of above-ground pool experience. And have a good swim!

I wanted to add that if you live in an area with a harsh winter, in case you keep the pool set up all year, remove the pump with the hoses after first plugging the pool outlets, so that the pump does not break from ice.

Very sturdy construction, it seems that the support pipes are of high resistance. It takes a little effort to set up but it's worth it! I hope it lasts many summers!

Setup.

Because the plan is for it to stay there for as long as it can, I tried to make it as safe as possible from possible punctures from underneath. So I did the following.
1. I cleaned the ground thoroughly.
2. I put down about 5 cm of gravel-sand.
3. I laid geotextile to prevent plants from growing upward.
4. I put down sand, not sea sand, crushed, about 4 cm.
5. I laid 2 special cloths so that possible plants would not come through again.
6. I put the gray cloth that comes with it as a base.
7. I placed the pool and filled it with water.

Obviously some will consider all this excessive, but I said the installation was done for as many years as the pool can last.

Cleaning - Water maintenance.

Anyone who thinks they will just fill it with water and swim for days in clean crystal-clear water is mistaken.

The procedure I followed after advice from a pool store was the following.

1. Fill with water and perform a shock treatment on the water, with 320 g dichlor, 240 g pH minus, 2 caps algaecide.
2. Every 3 days 1 cap algaecide.
3. Place 1 chlorine tablet in the special container each time the previous one dissolves.
3. Every morning clean the bottom and walls with the vacuum.
4. Every day measure pH and chlorine with a test kit.
5. Shower before entering the pool.
6. The pump-filter is set to work 6 hours at night and 2 two-hour periods during the day, with a timer. I think if it works 24 hours every day, at some point it might burn out. That is my thought; it does not mean it will happen.

I know, obviously, these procedures seem crazy to you, but after a few days it becomes routine and is done quickly.

This is how I have managed to actually have crystal-clear water and for all of us to enjoy it.

Obviously, whoever wants can do whatever they want with their own. I just wrote this for those who want, with passion, to swim in amazing water.

Build quality.

So far about 2 months of daily use. Morning, noon, evening, 4 to 6 people at a time, everything perfect.

I have no opinion on long-term durability since the product is only a few months old.

Update.

After the end of last summer season, the pool was emptied, washed with a pressure washer, turned upside down and washed underneath with the pressure washer as well. It was hung up upside down like a tent and dried for 4 days.
It was folded and put into a closed room.
The same was done with its frame.
The accessories, waterfall, pump, hoses, skimmer, ladder, light, filters, were cleaned very thoroughly and some were left overnight in white vinegar. Then everything went back into its original boxes.
Almost all the scale came off. Of course, something of the scale may still have remained.

New year for 2024.

Yesterday we started this year’s setup.
Everything perfect. Everything works normally.
The pool is not leaking anywhere.
It was brand new.
Tonight I adjusted the pH of its water, and did the water shock treatment for the first time.
Everything was assembled and tested and is excellent.

Tomorrow algaecide, cleaning with the vacuum and flocculant.
I hope tomorrow evening I can take my first swim this year.

It is somewhat of a hassle, but for the 2nd year everything is truly brand new, pool and accessories.

If you take care of it, you will definitely have it for a 2nd year, all new.... And we’ll see for the next years.
I will keep updating about everything and for as many years as it lasts.

Now 2 months in operation for the second year, i.e. 2024, and I made changes to the surrounding area. I removed the wood and put in tiles and artificial grass.

Update:
September 2024.

Both the pool and its accessories were packed away. Everything was washed and placed in their boxes. Have a good winter everyone and, God willing, next year in May when they open again I will update you on their condition.

July 2026.

After one summer in which it was not set up for mourning reasons, we reached the summer of 2026.
It was set up exactly as in previous years. So I don’t think I need to post photos.
However, I do have to mention a problem I noticed.
When I filled it, it was leaking from some point at the base. Also from 2 small holes on the side.
Holes that may have been caused by the washing we did before storing it away. Nevertheless, after 3 to 4 days of use we had the following results.
We no longer have a leak from the base. There is no moisture anywhere where there should be, such as during filling.
On the 2 side holes I put Intex patches and there is no leak from there either.
When I say leak, a seep, don’t imagine water shooting out.

Otherwise all the accessories (described above) work perfectly normally. The pump is a beast. It ran nonstop for 24-hour periods at the beginning because I made a mistake with the chemicals and had scale deposits or reaction products from the chemicals. I made a mistake, of course, with dichlor together with flocculant. Be careful: first dichlor for water shock. After 24 hours, adjust pH and only if needed use flocculant another 24 hours later.

General conclusion. Yes, it easily withstands 4 years of continuous use. As long as we are well, I will keep coming back until we see how long it lasts.

Please, those who read this, read from the original post what procedures it has gone through to last this long... the initial construction of the area where it will be placed needs attention, and of course chemical support for clean water is essential for health, especially for women. We never had any issues. But the water needs care.

Happy shopping and enjoy it; it is worth the money, with some extra expenses for water maintenance.

Replacement of an older pool of the same dimensions. The previous one lasted 4 years with intensive use. Therefore, buying the same newer model was the only way to go

Certainly, kids, especially those up to 12 years old, will love it!!!
It requires a lot of water (about 17 tons!!!), so the area where it will be set up must be able to withstand it (forget about balconies, rooftops, etc.). The ground where it will be set up should be level, preferably with a layer of sand, and a paving stone or something similar should be placed under each leg to prevent it from sinking into the ground.
After setting it up, don't forget the chemicals, otherwise it will become... murky!!! There are some additional things you put inside, like a slow-release tablet, and you check every 5 days if it has dissolved. They release chlorine and an algicide, which you check with a chlorine and pH testing kit daily. You may need to adjust the pH with another chemical. Also, consider buying a timer for the pump, because if it runs all day, it will burn out! The average solution, after a lot of research, is to run it for about half the day, that is, 9-12, 14-16, and 18-23. It consumes 300W. The pump also has a paper filter that you remove every 2-3 days and rinse (replace it every month or so). Lastly, beware of anything that falls into the water's surface.
I discovered all these things along the way, so don't think that you will buy it, fill it up, and be done like I thought! It has the same responsibilities and expenses as a regular pool of the same size, so calculate roughly double the money to make it work for the first season (I bought it for 350 and another 350 for the necessary things I described to you)!!! P.S.: Next season, get a pool bottom cleaner because it turns brown!!!
