The PWD-X5 is an innovative audio upgrade system that includes a digital signal processor (DSP), a 4-channel amplifier for the front and rear door speakers, and a super-slim active subwoofer. Its compact size allows for easy installation inside the vehicle's cabin for a bass upgrade. You can connect either OEM radios via high-power speaker inputs or aftermarket radios via RCA inputs and control the system through the wired remote control and the smartphone app.
All-in-one audio system
The PWD-X5 features a digital sound processor (DSP), a compact active subwoofer, and a 4-channel amplifier – all in one. It is ideal for smaller vehicles and users who want to avoid installing multiple different devices in their car. The built-in amplifier provides 4 x 50 Watts for the speakers and 240 Watts for the integrated subwoofer (peak power). Mounting brackets and wiring kits are included.
Compact installation
With dimensions of only 350mm length x 245mm width x 80mm height, the PWD-X5 can be installed under the front seats of many vehicles. It can also be easily installed in the trunk area of hatchback or coupe cars. The total weight of the product is just over 5kg.
Extensive sound tuning features
Use the built-in 10-band parametric EQ, digital time correction, and digital crossover to fine-tune your vehicle's sound. You can make the main adjustment by connecting a computer with Alpine's free software or through the built-in wired controller. There's also a smartphone app that allows users to switch between presets on the go and adjust subwoofer and sound levels.
Multiple connectivity options
You can connect the PWD-X5 to an aftermarket radio using RCA inputs. If you have the original radio in your car without RCA connections, you can connect it to the DSP amplifier using the high-power inputs. Two USB ports are included for the external Bluetooth dongle and for connecting the wired remote control and computer for setup.
Wired Remote Control
The control unit is connected to the DSP amplifier via USB. Use the rotary encoder to select presets, input sources, sound settings, and more.
Audio Streaming via Bluetooth
If your car’s original audio system doesn’t support audio streaming via Bluetooth, the PWD-X5 is a great solution. With the included Bluetooth dongle that can be connected to one of the USB ports on the DSP amplifier, you can stream music from your smartphone to the PWD-X5. Simply pair your phone and select Bluetooth as the source on the wired remote control to enjoy all your music.

You can download the Alpine companion app for the PWD-X5 from Google Play and the Apple App Store for free. This app allows you to adjust the main volume and subwoofer level, choose preset sounds, switch audio input sources, and customize the 10-band parametric EQ, crossover, balance, and more.
