The construction material is entirely plastic. No screwdriver is needed to install the disk. You simply open the snap-on cover, connect the board to the disk, and place it. Essentially, the disk is held in place due to the tight construction of the case. The port is very tight and makes good contact, so I hope it doesn't break. A small cable is included. The connection to USB 3 ports is problematic, so do not proceed with the purchase of the case if you are specifically interested in USB3 because it may not work for you. By problematic, I mean that Windows may not be able to recognize the device, or it may take a long time, or even cause the File Explorer to freeze. In USB2, a green LED lights up on the case, while in USB3, a blue LED lights up.
