I tried it initially when I bought the Muhle R89 razor, which had a sample in the package. Then I also bought the regular pack.
Quite sharp (sharper than the green Astra, similar and slightly sharper than the Gillette Platinum, less than the red Astor and Permasharp) but at the same time quite gentle.
With the Muhle R89, it is quite effective, providing over 7 shaves, while with the Muhle R41 it is very effective but only provides a maximum of 4-5 shaves with a very good lather (at least 3 minutes to soften the beard) with slight sticking.
Edit 28/7/23: After several shaves with this blade (the package has 10 blades and provides over 40-50 shaves), I can add the following: With a closed comb razor like the Muhle R89 or Gillette Fatboy, the blade is perfect, gentle, and cuts quite well. Especially with a good shaving soap like Haslinger Schafmilch, it doesn't stick anywhere.
With an open comb razor like the Muhle R41, although it is effective, no matter how careful I am, it will give me 2-3 small cuts. I emphasize small cuts!
It's strange because I am familiar with this particular razor and with blades sharper than this one (Feather, Astor, Permasharp), I hardly ever get cuts. Maybe something doesn't suit me, but I have limited its use to closed comb razors. Today, I opened the 10th blade from the package.
A decent and gentle blade for closed comb razors, I will likely continue to use it in the future.
Την δοκιμασα αρχικά οταν αγορασα τη μηχανη Muhle R89 που ειχε ενα δειγμα στη συσκευασία. Μετα αγορασα και το κανονικό πακέτο.
Αρκετα κοφτερή (πιο κοφτερη απο astra πρασινη, παρομοια και λίγο πιο κοφτερή απο την gillette platinum, λιγότερο απο την Astor κόκκινη και τη Permasharp ) αλλα συγχρονως αρκετα απαλή.
Με την Muhle R89 είναι αρκετα αποτελεσματική βγαζει πανω απο 7 ξυρισματα, ενω με την Muhle R41 παρα πολυ αποτελεσματική αλλα βγάζει max 4-5 ξυρίσματα με πολυ καλο αφρό (3 λεπτα τουλαχιστον για να μαλακωσουν τα γένια) με ελαφρά κολλήματα.
Edit 28/7/23: Μετά από αρκετά ξυρίσματα με την συγκεκριμένη λεπίδα (η συσκευασία έχει 10 ξυραφάκια και βγάζει πάνω από 40-50 ξυρίσματα) μπορώ να προσθέσω τα εξης: Με μηχανή κλειστή Muhle r89 η Gillette fatboy, η λεπίδα είναι άψογη, απαλή και κόβει αρκετά καλά. Ειδικά με ένα καλό σαπούνι ξυρίσματος π. χ. Haslinger προβατάκι, δεν κολλά πουθενά.
Με ανοικτή μηχανή Muhle r41 ναι μεν είναι αποτελεσματική αλλά όσο προσοχή και να δείξω 2-3 μικρά κοψίματα θα μου κάνει. Τονίζω μικρά κοψίματα!
Περίεργο γιατί τη συγκεκριμένη μηχανή την γνωρίζω καλά και με λεπίδες πιο κοφτερες από αυτήν ( Feather, Astor, Permasharp) δεν έχω σχεδόν ποτέ κοψίματα. Ίσως κάτι δεν μου ταιριάζει, πάντως την έχω περιορίσει σε χρήση με τις μηχανές κλειστου τύπου. Σήμερα άνοιξα το 10ο από τη συσκευασία.
Αξιοπρεπης και με απαλή αίσθηση λεπίδα για κλειστές μηχανές, πιθανως θα την χρησιμοποιώ και στο μέλλον.
