I bought it during lockdown for 899 euros. Even if I had paid double, it would still be worth every penny! The only initial problem I encountered was the screen saver freezing (it would come on every 5-10 minutes), and sometimes it wouldn't turn off. It was probably fixed with an update because it hasn't happened again in the past 5 months. I disagree about the slow and bad menu. With the simple remote control, it is more user-friendly than the webOS with smart remote that I have in other places (LG models 2015-2017 with the latest updates). In fact, without the LG smart remote, it simply loses functionality. The Tinzen on Samsung 2018 is unacceptable. So when I bought it, I was very skeptical about it, and it pleasantly surprised me! The picture quality is unparalleled! No matter what I say, I will do it injustice! I used to think that Ambilight was just hype for a backlight. Not at all! If you have enough white wall surrounding it, it's worth every penny! The sound is full, high-quality, you never feel like the speakers are annoyingly screeching, your ears don't hurt, and it hasn't even produced sound like others... If I have to find a negative, OLED technology consumes more power / produces more heat (in the summer) compared to LED. I would buy it again and highly recommend it, it's one of my best purchases. Hopefully, it will also perform well in the long run!
Update 3+ years later (it must have 5,000 hours of operation): in 2 spots at the edge, some pixels have burned out. One (bottom left corner) is not visible at a normal viewing distance (2.5 meters), while the other (left side slightly higher than the middle) is visible, but not bothersome. Maybe it's due to transportation, because when they delivered it, the carrier left it with its box falling from under 20 inches. Otherwise, occasionally it may freeze (especially when watching ertflix), no button responds. You press to turn it off and while the light goes off, it never turns on and stays there. You need to unplug it for a few seconds and then everything is fine. Also, as a downside, it doesn't have many apps like other TVs. It is even very good for gaming (with PS5), with very good graphics and motion, and for its size, minimal response time. I play GT7 with a controller and haven't had any problems even in online gaming. Overall, I am still as happy as when we bought it. I would buy it again today, even at the same price I bought it back then, even though it's a 4-year-old model!
Την πήρα στο lockdown 899 ευρώ. Και τα διπλά να είχα δώσει πάλι θα άξιζε το κάθε τελευταίο σέντ! Το μόνο πρόβλημα που αντιμετώπισα αρχικά ήταν να κολλάει το screen saver (εκεί που έβλεπες έμπαινε κάθε 5-10 λεπτά), και κάποιες φορές δεν έσβηνε. Μάλλον διορθώθηκαν με update, γιατί δεν το έχει ξανακάνει 5 μήνες τώρα. Για το αργό και κακό μενού δεν συμφωνώ. Με το απλό τηλεχειριστήριο είναι πιο εύχρηστο από το webOS με smart remote που έχω σε άλλες σε σπίτι και γραφείο (LG μοντέλα 2015-2017 με τελευταία updates). Μάλιστα χωρίς το LG smart remote απλά χάνεις λειτουργικότητα. Το δε Tinzen σε Samsung 2018 απαράδεκτο. Οπότε όταν την αγόρασα ήμουν πολύ επιφυλακτικός σε αυτό, και με εξέπληξε πολύ θετικά! Η εικόνα απαράμιλλη! Ό,τι και να πω θα την αδικήσω! Το Ambilight θεωρούσα πως είναι πολύς ντόρος για ένα λαμπαντέρ. Καμία σχέση! Αν έχεις αρκετό λευκό τοίχο γύρω γύρω είναι όλα τα λεφτά! Ο ήχος είναι γεμάτος, ποιοτικός, ποτέ δεν νιώθεις πως τα ηχεία τσιρίζουν ενοχλητικά, τα αυτιά πονάνε και ακόμα ήχο δεν έβγαλε, όπως σε άλλες... Αν πρέπει σώνει και ντε να βρω αρνητικό, η OLED τεχνολογία καίει περισσότερο ρεύμα / βγάζει περισσότερη ζέστη (το καλοκαίρι) από τις LED. Την ξαναγόραζα και την συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα, από τις καλύτερες αγορές μου. Μακάρι να βγει και καλή στον χρόνο!
Update 3+ χρόνια μετά (πρέπει να έχει 5.000 ώρες λειτουργίας): σε 2 σημεία στην άκρη έχουν καεί κάποια pixel. Το ένα (κάτω αριστερή γωνία) δεν φαίνεται σε νορμάλ απόσταση θέασης (2.5 μέτρα), ενώ το άλλο (αριστερή πλευρά λίγο πιο ψηλά από τη μέση) φάινεται, χωρίς όμως να ενοχλεί. Ίσως φταίει η μεταφορά, γιατί όταν την έφεραν, την άφησε ο μεταφορέας με το κουτί της να σκάσει κάτω από τους 20 πόντους. Κατά τα λοιπά, που και που μπορεί να κολλήσει (κυρίως βλέποντας ertflix), δεν αποκρίνεται κανένα κουμπί. Πατάς να σβήσει και ενώ σβήνει το λαμπάκι δεν ανάβει ποτέ και μένει εκεί. Θέλει να βγάλεις την πρίζα για κάποια δευτερόλεπτα και μετά όλα καλά. Επίσης σαν μείον δεν έχει πολλά apps σαν άλλες τηλεοράσεις. Είναι πολύ καλή ακόμα και για gaming (με PS5), με πολύ καλά γραφικά και κίνηση και για το μέγεθός της ελάχιστη απόκριση. Παίζω GT7 με χειριστήριο και δεν είχα προβλήματα ακόμα και σε online gaming. Γενικά είμαι ακόμα όσο χαρούμενος ήμουν όταν την αγοράσαμε. Θα την ξαναγόραζα και σήμερα, ακόμα και στην ίδια τιμή που την πήρα τότε κι ας είναι μοντέλο 4ετίας!
