I am the owner of three pairs of 2-eye boat shoes, the classic brown with white sole, the blue with white sole, and now the blue with white sole. I must admit that they are wonderful shoes both in terms of appearance and comfort. However, my issue is that firstly, the color of the brown and blue shoes does not match the photos of Scrooge at least. You will see the real color either in the store or if you search further and see other photos in a store that has different ones from Scrooge's. Of course, this is not certain either. For example, I found it on the Timberland website, but even there I do not see the real color, which at least seems to me to lean towards the green of the countryside frog and not the blue of the city frog. Secondly, there is no consistency in the size that I already wear in all my shoes, apart from Timberland. They are all size 45, but not these ones. One (brown) is 44 1/2 and the other two are 44. From the most timeless designs of casual shoes ever. Having tried different brands of sailing-type moccasins (all imitations of Timberland), I concluded that they are the only ones that offer top-notch construction, which means high-quality leather and stitching, elegance, and attention to detail in their design, so they largely justify their higher price (with well-known brands, there is always a premium due to their reputation). As for practicality in using them mainly as summer shoes, the feet are more ventilated due to the smaller coverage of the instep, they do not hit the heels, they have special soles to avoid collecting pebbles, and their size corresponds exactly to the number we wear. I have also tried the directly competing Sebago, which I found to be inferior as they hit my heel intensely, they do not have a nice roundness at the toe, and due to the grooved sole, they collect pebbles.
NOTE: when they happen to be significantly discounted online (and this happens with all brands), two things occur: either only extreme sizes (40, 46, 47) are available, or they have some defect that is not mentioned in the ad and you discover it upon receipt. It is not a coincidence, therefore, that when all sizes are available, there is no discount! I will not prefer such "offers" again because either I return them, or I "accept" them with a heavy heart.
