Good and useful tool. I use it to check type-c chargers from laptops.

  • For the job it does, the fact that it has cables makes it a game changer. The others that plug in directly have the flaw that they can bend. It just doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles in terms of information.

Correct measurements in volts and amperes, wrong measurements in mAh. It's not really worth it if you want to make accurate measurements. If you are getting it to measure charging speed on a mobile phone, then it won't work. Mobile phones have communication protocols with chargers to receive the maximum possible charge. With this in between, proper communication does not occur, resulting in not having the maximum charge for the device.

I'm not so sure about the accuracy of its measurements, but for the job I need it for and for its price, it's good.

It is the most practical USB power meter-tester for simultaneous measurement of multiple outputs on a power bank or USB charger. There are two other models from UNI-T, each having only one output/input. The UT658DUAL has two inputs and USB extensions (type C and A), making it very convenient. It features two adjustment buttons and a large LCD screen with backlight that displays the measured voltage, power, capacity, equivalent circuit resistance, D+ and D- voltages. It can store up to 10 measurement groups. It is compatible with the PD 3.0 protocol as seen in the video with the measurements here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpMyVwkLgIs
You will need a PD3.0 USB trigger to measure devices or PD cables.

chris.anastasiou
