  • Everything is fine, they were bought for backing tracks for guitar, the only negative is that you can't turn off the noise-gate filter, resulting in them not playing very quietly, they go into automatic sleeping mode, they want to play from 10-15% let's say and above. The solution given by the manufacturer is to always set the volume from the source (the computer for example) to the maximum and adjust the volume from the speaker button, of course, this doesn't improve things much either. It doesn't bother me since I got them to play loud anyway, if I want to play that quietly, in the range that activates the noise gate, I just put on the headphones. In terms of volume, they are okay, they don't break windows, however, they are satisfactory for a room-living room.

From the beginning when I bought them, as soon as I connected them to my computer (with usb) without playing anything, they make a whistling noise.. as I increase the volume, this noise gets louder too.. I don't know what could be wrong if it's a cable or connectivity issue but I am disappointed

I have them for about 8 months and I can say that for music production, at least in the mini monitor studio category (because they are also 4-inch), they hit so hard that sometimes I hear my neighbor's child telling my roommate how loud the music sounds (and all this at half or maybe a little more than 3/5 of the maximum volume)....!!!!
To play them at full blast, you need a good room with soundproofing, something that I personally don't have, and overall I am satisfied with my Mackie speakers for the quality and price ratio!!!!
I bought them for 119 and I also got desk stands to hear the high frequencies exactly in the center of my ears, as every music producer should do

Wanting to replace my old Creative Inspire 5.1 5100 computer speakers, I preferred to buy studio speakers for better sound quality for music, movies, and gaming. After a lot of research, I chose the Mackie CR4-X. The result, after a week of heavy use and testing, is that it is a very good speaker set with fantastic bass and mid-range response, and very good treble. Its volume is more than enough for anything you want to do, even parties. If paired with a good equalizer through a PC, it can work wonders. If you are interested in music production, Mackie also offers codes to download Pro Tools.

Wonderful speakers. I would like the icon to be illuminated on both speakers, not just one
