Certainly, small countries in terms of area and population have the ability to cope in an international society where these cynical rules apply, if they establish their own bases of power and cultivate the respect of others through the development of their economy or culture.

We are members of the European Union, with responsibilities and obligations, limitations, and new opportunities. However, it becomes possible to defend interests through the new expanded space, where we can have not only the equality offered by agreements but also true parity, depending on our capabilities.

It is imperative to evaluate opportunities and capabilities through these new lenses, especially the European ones. This requires not only a new mentality from all the forces of the Nation but also new ways of action. The result is achieved through many systematic steps, with successes at specific points, and not through battles of impressiveness.
