The glasses have very good peripheral vision (left-right) but they obstruct your view downwards. If you work in construction, for example, where you need to look down at your feet, it forces you to bend your head too much to the point where your neck starts to hurt after a while, as you unconsciously keep bending down constantly.
However, this may be expected to some extent with such glasses. The completely disappointing thing is that the coating on the inside, which is supposed to prevent fogging, wears off almost immediately. Let me explain:
The number one problem with closed-type safety glasses is that they fog up. I have 3 pairs from different brands, one of which is 3M, and they all fog up very quickly and constantly. You can't work like that for hours. This was the only pair of glasses that didn't fog up at all. BUT what prevents it from fogging up is a membrane it has on the inside. In the 3 days that I wore it, the membrane swelled and came off in various places. Therefore, it fogged up in those areas. The store replaced it immediately at no cost. The second pair had the same issue in 2 days, but I didn't ask for a replacement. Why? Because a friend to whom I recommended it on the first day I got it and it worked perfectly for him, listened to me and bought it as well (unfortunately). In 10 days, the entire internal membrane came off in his pair. Therefore, the product is problematic! It can't be that 3 pairs have the same problem. It still functions as safety glasses, but it fogs up. So, what's the point?
There are Uvex glasses, also called supersonic by the company, which have an orange color on the "skirt" that fits on the face. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them in Greece. Those are perfect in every aspect. Choose those wherever you find them. They are made by a whole company that I know and they are the best glasses available for prolonged use without fogging up and they fit exceptionally well.
Τα γυαλιά έχουν πολύ καλή περιφερειακή οπτική (δεξιά αριστερά) αλλά σε εμποδίζουν να δεις κάτω. Αν κάνεις δουλειά σε οικοδομή π.χ. που πρέπει να κοιτάς κάτω που πατάς, σε αναγκάζει να σκύβεις πάρα πολύ το κεφάλι σε βαθμό που μετά από ώρα πιάνεται ο αυχένας σου, αφού ασυναίσθητα σκύβεις διαρκώς.
Αυτό όμως ίσως είναι αναμενόμενο ως ένα βαθμό σε τέτοια γυαλιά. Το εντελώς απογοητευτικό είναι το γεγονός ότι η επίστρωση που έχει εσωτερικά για να μην θολώνει φεύγει σχεδόν άμεσα. Εξηγώ:
Το νούμερο 1 πρόβλημα στα κλειστού τύπου γυαλιά ασφαλείας είναι ότι θολώνουν. Έχω 3 ζευγάρια από διαφορετικές εταιρίες, η μια εκ των οποίων η 3Μ, και όλα θολώνουν πολύ γρήγορα και συνεχώς. Δεν μπορείς να δουλέψεις έτσι για ώρες. Αυτό ήταν το μόνο γυαλί που δεν θολώνει με τίποτα. ΑΛΛΑ αυτό που το κάνει να μην θολώνει είναι μια μεμβράνη που έχει εσωτερικά. Σε 3 μέρες που το φόρεσα η μεμβράνη φούσκωσε κι έφυγε σε διάφορα σημεία. Συνεπώς σε αυτά τα σημεία θόλωνε. Το κατάστημα μου το άλλαξε άμεσα χωρίς κόστος. Το δεύτερο ζευγάρι έπαθε τα ίδια σε 2 μέρες, αλλά δεν ζήτησα αλλαγή. Γιατί; Φίλος που του το πρότεινα την πρώτη μέρα που το είχα πάρει κι έκανε τότε άψογα τη δουλειά του το γυαλί, με άκουσε και το αγόρασε κι εκείνος επίσης (δυστυχώς). Σε 10 ημέρες βγήκε όλη η εσωτερική μεμβράνη μονοκόμματη σε αυτόν. Συνεπώς είναι προβληματικό το προϊόν! Δεν γίνεται 3 ζευγάρια να έχουν το ίδιο πρόβλημα. Λειτουργεί ως γυαλί ασφαλείας και πάλι, αλλά θολώνει. Συνεπώς, ποιο το νόημα;
Υπάρχουν Uvex γυαλιά που επίσης τα ονομάζει supersonic η εταιρία, που έχουν πορτοκαλί χρώμα στη "φούστα" που εφαρμόζει στο πρόσωπο. Δυστυχώς Ελλάδα δεν τα βρήκα. Αυτά είναι άψογα σε όλα τους. Προτιμήστε εκείνα όπου τα βρείτε. Τα δουλεύει μια εταιρία ολόκληρη που γνωρίζω και είναι τα καλύτερα γυαλιά που κυκλοφορούν για πολύωρη χρήση χωρίς να θολώνουν και εφαρμόζουν εξαιρετικά.
