Very nice bass sound. It's not an absolutely accurate monitor sound but it's a warm rounded sound performance (with a slight smoothing of the very extreme peaks of the waveform compared to expensive high-frequency earphones). If you are used to higher frequency earphones, the sound may seem imprecise and muddy to you (not just bass but with a shift of the peaks of the high-frequency waveforms that are like spikes). For casual listeners/non-audio professionals, it's excellent. For audiophiles, they have a warm sound. I have 10 pairs in black. I give it one star because JVC has been ignoring for decades to make them thinner/smaller in volume, while it is feasible with X support and minimal bass degradation. For people with small ears, this is very important. If I could give 0 stars and have it registered, I would.

It is great for simple music use, but because it does not have a microphone on the cable, it is a bit so-so. However, as an overall picture for typical use, it is great!
