Plasti dip is a liquid rubber in spray form and is divided into many uses. It seals, insulates, gives color, and protects cars and motorcycles. It is non-slip and surface enhancing, insulating wires and pipes, providing protection against corrosion and dielectric coating.
The application of Plasti dip does not require sanding and can be easily removed without damaging the vehicle's paint. It is important to first clean the surface to be painted.
Application tips:
- Check the temperature: If it's low, plasti dip may not spray evenly. Warm the spray in hot water before application.
- Avoid varnish: Do not apply plasti dip on surfaces finished with factory paint unless at least a year has passed.
- Maintain proper distance: Keep a distance of 10-15 cm between the spray and the surface during application.
- Clean the surface: Make sure the surface is clean and free of moisture.
- Be cautious with drying: At low temperatures, each "coat" takes longer to dry.
For an ideal result, it is recommended to apply the special wax Dip Protect every month and a half. The ratio of thick plasti dip to thinner should be 1:1 when sprayed with a gun.
Caution in use: Avoid using active foam at car washes and use only plain soapy water for washing the vehicle. Inform staff at gas stations about the contact of gasoline with plasti dip, as it may discolor it.
