Excellent coffee beans. Balanced in intensity and aroma.
Depending on the grind, you can see different variations in the body of the coffee.
    Very good!

In double espresso and double cappuccino.

    - Aroma: Medium to strong intensity. For me, it is the number one coffee in terms of aroma! The coffee beans smell amazing, fantastic! Intense, with a strong complexity, and it gives me the feeling of an unparalleled quality coffee! A coffee in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, this aroma of the beans and what I feel in them does not come out in the extraction or in the cup. During extraction, the aroma is not impressive at all, while in the cup, although it is of medium to strong intensity, it is just good. Okay...maybe more than good, but truly only a little, and it certainly doesn't deliver what is expected, what I anticipate after the stunning aroma of the beans.
    - Body: Here it disappoints me even more...it is definitely not bad, quite the opposite. I open the box, smell the best I have ever smelled in beans, I feel immense quality both in the aroma and in the beans themselves, and then gradually but increasingly I am disappointed. One from the aroma in the extraction, one from the aroma in the cup that is not worthy of the beans, and one in the taste that is also not worthy of the beans. Obviously, the coffee is not bad, it is good, but probably due to the expectations from the beans, I expected something much better. In the end, it is a coffee of medium to strong intensity, with intense complexity, a little chocolate, various fruits mainly tropical, hints of some dry nuts, perhaps almonds and pistachios, a hint of caramel and a hint of molasses. Delicate acidity. All these things make me consider it and feel it as a quite complex coffee. The crema is satisfying both in terms of taste, mainly with milk foam, and in terms of quantity. The aftertaste is complex, long-lasting, fruity, but mainly with milk foam and not in plain espresso.

    In freddo espresso.

Okay...simply and briefly, I prefer it hot, it doesn't work for freddo. On the one hand, it doesn't bring out the flavors and complexity of the hot version, on the other hand, it significantly diminishes the aroma compared to the hot version, and I also feel a slight bitterness - perhaps insignificant for some friends.

"A quality and good coffee, however, it must click with you and you must really like it in order for it to become your regular coffee."

Tried on a Philips HD8650/01 automatic machine with an integrated grinder.
In this specific machine, I have tried a three-digit number of different espresso coffee beans, and for each coffee, I experiment with adjusting the grinder's intensity. One of the best coffees I have made on the machine so far is Ipanema (for personal taste comparison).
