Cardamom or Kakule by the company Sonnentor in a package of 30 grams. Cardamom or kakule, is a highly aromatic spice, used mainly in confectionery but also in cooking. A precious spice with a strong aroma reminiscent of eucalyptus, pine, and mint, and a sweet and intense taste with spicy notes. Traditionally in Greece, we put it in sweet breads either alone or in combination with mastic or mahleb. It gives a wonderful taste to tea and is the main ingredient in the chai Masala spice mix. In Arab countries, the main use of cardamom is the flavoring of Arabic coffee. It is an essential ingredient in Indian cuisine, especially in rice dishes. We find it in marinades for meats and poultry, casserole dishes, but also in ice creams, puddings, cakes, syrups, sweet breads, biscuits, etc. It matches wonderfully with cloves, ginger, anise, mastic, fennel, cinnamon, and mahleb.
