Use it undiluted for good coverage. Obviously, sand to remove loose material and wipe with a cloth + white spirit so the railings are clean before painting.

Other than that, it's extremely expensive and I wasn't impressed by its durability on a balcony recess with railings exposed to the weather compared to using primer + enamel paint. Surely, if you use it with a coat of primer first, its durability will increase, but then you lose the convenience of the 3-in-1. Also, the dark brown I use is not available in 2.5 liters. Very bad marketing, not cost-effective if you have to paint many meters.

Classic Hammerite color.
If you know it, you won't face any problems and with the right preparation the result is impressive.
It is a bit darker than I would like but that's a matter of taste and is subjective.
It spreads more difficultly because it is used as is, without thinners.

The classic dark green with a glossy finish, ideal for neoclassical buildings (doors, railings, shutters, frames, etc.). Very high coverage, you may not always need a second coat, ready to use. The smell is like that of oil paint, but in 8-12 hours it is significantly reduced and in 24 hours it is gone. We actually used it on a rusty surface and it does what it promises.

And the quality of the paint is excellent, as well as the interesting color choices. However, it also requires careful cleaning of old, flaky paint from the metal in order for the paint to last for many years

What can I say about the product... it does what it says. Very good coverage and durability. It paints over rust and saves you a painting job, but it is good to scrape and remove loose pieces and rust flakes first.

I painted the balcony railings and within a year they started peeling off. Now I have to start all over again, I am not satisfied. I will definitely get a different quality.

I bought it because the terrace door was completely rusted and I wanted a paint that would adhere directly to the rust. Hammerite proved to be worth 100 pounds, as it did exactly what it says! I applied two coats with black/glossy and it shines like new. Surely its price is a bit high, but since it delivers what it promises.. it's worth it! Before using it, it's good to watch the video, so you can avoid mistakes and have a uniformly painted surface.

Very good quality color, but difficult to find in local market. It must come from another region, where there are still some stocks available.
